Author Interview with Christy Santo
I’m interviewing Christy Santo today, author of time travel book “Between Two Worlds”. Welcome to my blog, Christy!
When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I knew I wanted to be an author when I was in high school. I even chose a career in real time court reporting to help me gain inspiration for the books I would write. I thought I would write legal thrillers or mysteries since I would be working in a court room. However, my chosen career ended up not happening and I instead became involved in my family Internet jewelry business.
Where did you get the inspiration for Between Two Worlds?
I got my inspiration for Between Two Worlds from watching the 2006 UK series Life on Mars on DVD. I didn’t want to write a carbon copy of the program nor have it be a mystery/police procedural. Instead I wanted to take parts of my life growing up in Fanwood, NJ and combine it with elements from the show.
What is your editing process like?
I start editing any draft piece by reading it over and over even reading it out loud. I want to hear as well as picture in my mind the events I wrote about and see if it plays out in my head as being believable. Anything that isn’t I rewrite until I get it right. I repeat this process plus doing grammar checks until I am ready to have others read what I have written. I want to hear from friends what they think works and doesn’t as I keep reworking the story till I am ready to either post it on my blog or seek the services of a proofreader and/or editor for publication.
Who is your favorite character from the book?
My favorite character in Between Two Worlds is Anne Marie. I like her drive and determination to help a woman she perceives to be her cousin. She doesn’t give up once she has sights on a goal and I admire this character for it. Although I have to state she is a bit shy about moving forward with her boyfriend Kevin.
What are your writing goals for 2015?
My writing goals for 2015 are to complete my kidnapping story and start writing another time travel book.
Are you working on something now? If so, can you tell us a little about it?
Yes, I am working on a new manuscript. Like Between Two Worlds the focus is on a female university student but there isn’t any time travel instead she is kidnapped and is confined in tight spaces.

Author Bio
Christy Santo was born and raised in Fanwood, New Jersey. She has lived in Bloomington, IN since 2002 and runs her family’s Internet retail business. Between Two Worlds, is her second book and she is currently working on a third book.
