What’s Up Wednesday #8
What’s Up Wednesday is a weekly blog hop created by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk. The goal of this hop is to help connect writers on their writing journey. You can find out more about the blog hop here.
What I’m Reading
I finished reading “Exorcist Road” by Jonathan Jantz, a horror novella about…you guessed it. Exorcisms. Great writing and solid plot as well. I’m in the middle of reading “Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse” by Lee Herrmann, another horror book, this time for young adults. I’m also finishing some of the books I got from Ind’Tale Magazine to read and review for the January issue.
What I’m Writing
It’s NaNoWriMo (as you probably know) and I’ve spent most of the time working on my NaNo Project – finishing Ghostslayer. I added an astonishing 7k words already (from 15k to 22k). By the time the first draft is done, the book should be about 70-75k words total.
I’m also working on interviews and guest posts for the book tour for The Soul Thief starting…next week. Whenever I think about that, my heart rate picks up. The Soul Thief will release a week from now. It’s so surreal.
What Works For Me
Writing consistently, every day. I aim for 2k a day, and often end up writing much more. The more I write, the more inspired I get.
What Else I’ve Been Upto
I’ve been spending most of my spare time playing World of Warcraft. For those of you who don’t know what that is – it’s a massive multiplayer online game. With the newest expansion, Warlords of Draenor, hitting shelves next week, I want to be well-prepared. I have four level 90s right now, and I’d like to add one more to that collection.
Enjoy writing this week!
