Author Interview

When did you know you wanted to become an author?

I knew I wanted to become an author the moment my dad thought me to pen my wild imagination on paper. I would tell these crazy stories to my babysitter and one time I had told her a story about my father setting the house on fire and going to jail (lol I know, crazy) So instead of telling these stories aloud, my dad taught me how to make it into a story on paper.

Where did you get the inspiration for Sins of the Fallen?

I’ve always been an avid reader and especially enjoyed books on angels and Nephilim. So one day when I decided to crack open the bible and start reading genesis, when I read the mention of Nephilim. I totally freaked out because I couldn’t believe it what somewhat real. After that my imagination ran wild (I didn’t even finish reading the bible lol) I started concocting all these stories that I thought could possibly happen in real life, and that’s when Sins of the Fallen emerged.

What is your editing process like?

Strenuous. I go over it myself at least ten times and make a million changes and then pass it over to my really good friend Daniella who is an editing genius and she finds all my mistakes. Because I have a ton of them lol.

What was the most challenging part about writing Sins of the Fallen?

The most challenging part about writing Sins of the Fallen was probably writing the ending. Spoiler alert! I had to say goodbye to a character that was really hard for me to let go but I had to because it’s how I had envisioned it from the beginning and I knew it wouldn’t work any other way.

What are your writing goals for 2014?

My writing goals for 2014 is having the second book of Sins of the Fallen released by this summer and the third book by the end of the year. After that I want to take a break on SOTF and start on a side project I’ve been working on.

What are you working on at the moment?

I am currently working on the second installment of Sins of the Fallen that will hopefully be released this summer.

Author Bio

Born in New York City, my family picked up and moved to South Florida when I was twelve. After high school I spent the next few years traveling and experiencing what life had to offer me. At twenty four years old, I’m back in South Florida in my third year of University-majoring in Communication studies. When not in the writing cave, I usually have my nose in a book or on Netflix, cut off from the world with a huge bowl of ice cream.
