Monthly Goals December 2013

goalsEach month, I write down my writing-related goals and track my progress. Here are the goals I had for last month. Goals I reached are marked through.

  1. Participate in NaNoWriMo and win. My goal is to finish the first draft of a YA manuscript, of about 65-75k words, so more than the intended NaNoWriMo word count of 50k.
  2. Write paper on sports law for school.
  3. Work on my masters paper for school. Write 10k words in the paper.
  4. Edit “House of Horrors” based on editor’s comments.
  5. Edit “Fright Train” based on editor’s comments.

I think I did great last month, and I hope I do just as well this month. Here are my goals for December 2013.

  1. Write first draft of “Drowning in Fear” (Weirdville #4).
  2. Edit “Drowning in Fear” (Weirdville #4) and send to editor.
  3. Edit my NaNoWriMo manuscript chapter by chapter.
  4. Send NaNoWriMo manuscript to betareaders.
  5. Write first draft “Monster Hotel”. The total will be 35-45k words.
  6. Write paper on sports law for school.
