I’m hosting an interview today with author Barry Nelson, the author of “The McKenzie Files”, a science-fiction adventure. Thanks for answering my questions, Barry!
1) When did you know you wanted to become an author?
2) How long did it take you to write The McKenzie Files from start to finish?
From start to finish it took me roughly six months. That’s with balancing the time between writing and other activities such as having a day job.
3) What are your writing goals for 2013?
I’m still working to create a much larger following for my McKenzie Files series. I already have plans for ten books in the series so far. I’m also working on a screenplay for McKenzie Files.
4) What is your editing process like?
I do a lot of my editing. Then my manuscript goes through an edit with my publisher.
5) Where did you get the inspiration from for The McKenzie Files?
In addition to my first book, McKenzie Files, I have the second book in the series. Titled, Assassination Anxiety. McKenzie Files-2. And I’m due to finish the third book in the series. Titled, Obliteration. McKenzie Files-3. Depending on my publisher’s schedual I hope to have the third book released either in May or June. Then this summer I’m finally going to start my WW-2 horror story, Dogs of War. Then in 2014 I’ll start work on McKenzie Files-4.
