Monthly Goals for January 2013

One of my New Year’s goals is to keep track of my writing goals every month, and take a look at them at the end of the month and which ones I’ve achieved.

Here are my goals for January 2013:

• Edit the first five chapters of Ghostslayer (around 30k words).
• Revise chapter six, seven, eight and nine of Ghostslayer (around 20k words).
• Write the first draft of The Unnaturals. I already have this outlined, and I’m guessing the first draft will be about 50k-60k words total.

I know these are some steep word count goals, but I want to be off to a good start. Besides, since I won’t be doing any editing in January, I figure it should work.
