What’s Up Wednesday #14
What’s Up Wednesday is a weekly blog hop created by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk. The goal of this hop is to help connect writers on their writing journey. You can find out more about the blog hop here.
What I’m Reading
I just finished reading a bunch of fun horror books published by Samhain, “The Cure” by JC Faherty and “Revels Ending” by Vic Kerry. I also finished “Within These Walls” by Ania Ahlborn. I’m still interested in horror mostly, but I’m looking forward to reading a few romance books too. It seems like it’s been a while since I’ve read those.
What I’m Writing
Edits for Reflected finished last week, so I’m in writing limbo. I outlined Demonic Pact, and I’d like to reach at least 30k in that manuscript by the end of the month. I’m struggling with the start of the book though, and have some plot points I still need to figure out there, but the majority of the book is outlined. If possible, I’d also like to finish Ghostslayer.
Keeping up with #AStoryAWeek challenge has been tough so far, especially when I went away for the weekend at the end of January. Last weekend was crazy busy too, but I did manage tostick to it. Fingers crossed I’ll make it to the end of February at least.
What Works For Me
Setting short deadlines. Like, finish 1k in an hour. Or edit one chapter in two hours. Even if I don’t make it by that time, I tend to continue working anyway until I’ve finished it. And any progress is good progress in my book.
What Else Is New
The cover artist for Reflected started working on the cover design. I forgot how exciting that stage of the process is! I can’t wait to see my cover.

I can’t even imagine writing a story a week. I’m always amazed by people who write flash fiction and manage to get so many things into those few words. I’m too wordy to even consider something like that lol. Ooo, working through cover design would be so awesome. I’d be pretty darn excited too! Have a great week, Majanka! 😀
Hope those short deadlines keep working well for you 🙂
Have a fantastic week 😀
I bet if I lived in your head I would have nightmares! LOL. I have a low threshold for horror! Good luck on your writing goals this week!
