NaNoWriMo

It’s November already?

imagesOctober really flew by. I miss October. It’s one of my favorite months, with summer making room for autumn, the leaves changing color, wind picking up, Halloween just around the corner. We’re not that big on Halloween here in Europe, but heck, I’ll take any excuse to watch a good horror movie.

The truth is, October passed by so fast that I’m standing here, going all “how in the world is it November already?”.

I didn’t prepare for NaNoWriMo. Nothing. Nada. My profile isn’t even ready yet. I don’t know what I’m going to write. Continue Ghostslayer? I’ve just hit 17k on that one, with roughly 50k to go. Or do I keep to my initial plan and work on the second book in the Angel of Death series, Demonic Pact?

Talking about the Angel of Death series, the first book in that series is releasing in November. November 11, to be exact. I can’t wait to see The Soul Thief out there, but it feels like it all went so fast I can barely wrap my mind around it.

We’re one month away from the release of the next two chapter books in the Weirdville series as well, The Clumsy Magician and Grave Error. Another big milestone. So much to prep for, and so little time.

November also means a few more non-writing related things. Like, studying. With exams approaching in January, November is usually the month I start at least contemplating the notion of studying. So if I want to stick to my original plan and not freak out when January comes rolling around, I need to come up with a plan for that.

And then there’s the new World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, releasing on November 13, if all goes well. To say I’m pscyhed about it would be quite the understatement. I’ve always loved playing WoW, but I quit for a few months during the summer. In October, I re-activated my subscription, and ever since I’ve been avidly collecting achievements, levelling characters to the big level 90 and running old school dungeons and raids. It’s been a blast. By the time November 13 rolls in, I’d like to have five level 90s (I have four now), but that’ll take some time as well.

Do you have any plans for November? Will you participate in NaNoWriMo?
