Author Interview with Virginia Vayna
I’m interviewing Virginia Vayna today, author of paranormal “The Hunters and the Queen”. Welcome to my blog, Virginia, and thanks for answering my questions.
When did you know you wanted to become an author?
During adolescence; however, I never considered writing as a potential livelihood until after college.
Where did you get the inspiration for The Hunters and the Queen?
The Hunters and the Queen is a story that developed from personal experiences, shared stories, historical events, and a desire to get a story out from the land of imagination and into the minds of readers.
What is your editing process like?
I typically finish writing a chapter, and then I walk away. When I return, then I re-read the chapter and make my edits. I recently started working with a trusted companion who proofreads my work, so this has helped find errors which my own eyes have overlooked.
What was the most challenging part about writing your book?
Editing can often provide challenges. I may not see something that upsets the whole flow of the sentence. It’s nice to have an outside perspective look over my work.
What are your writing goals for 2014?
I will release the third book in the Element series, Emergence. I have plans to have the 4th book finished too. I also am toying with a short story series.
Are you working on something? If so, can you tell us more about it?
Right now, I want to focus on the plot and storyline for Emergence. I have a few paragraphs from the third book on my blog. Check it out and leave some feedback. I’d like to hear from you.
