Monday Musings #13

Every Monday, I try to give a recap of last week’s events on my blog and writing-related.

1. Editing. Edits are done for “Valentina and the Whackadoodle Witch”. I’m expecting edits for “The Doll Maker” this week.
2. Cover sketches. The illustrator for the Valentina and Weirdville series, the talented Noelle Giffin, sent me cover sketches for multiple covers this weekend. The cover for “Valentina and the Whackadoodle Witch” looks great so far, and I can’t wait to see the more detailed version of the covers for the Weirdville books.
3. Translation. Just got the extremely AWESOME news this week that the Valentina series will be translated to Spanish. The tentative release for the first book would be October 2013. Just in time for Halloween!
4. Giveaway. I set up a giveaway for “Valentina and the Haunted Mansion” on Goodreads. The giveaway is international. Go here to participate, or just enter through the giveaway form in the sidebar.
5. Academic Writing. Working on multiple academic projects at once. Due date – August 19th. Yikes! Time to get rolling again.
