Monthly Goals August

I’m still trying to hold on to the idea of having monthly goals, in order to achieve more. So far, it’s not working out too great, but I’m hoping one of these months will be the turn around. Sigh.

Either way, here were my goals for last month. I’ve crossed out the goals I met.

1. Write first draft of Valentina and the Masked Mummy (third picture book in the Valentina’s Spooky Adventures series).
2. Write first draft of Train to Hell (working title), the third book in the Weirdville Series.
3. Edit Valentina and the Whackadoodle Witch.
4. Self-edit Valentina and the Masked Mummy and send to editor.
5. Self-edit Train to Hell (working title) and send to editor.

I’m almost done with Train to Hell though. I estimate one more day for drafting, a day for revising and another day for self-editing and then I’ll be done. Here’s hoping.

And here are my goals for August.

1. Write first draft of Train to Hell (working title, I’ll change it, just waiting for inspiration), the third book in the Weirdville Series.
2. Edit Valentina and the Whackadoodle Witch (waiting for edits from editor).
3. Edit The Doll Maker (waiting for edits from editor).
4. Self-edit Train to Hell (working title) and send to editor.
5. Self-edit Valentina and the Masked Mummy and send to editor.
6. Write first draft of Monster Hotel (MG novel). Estimated word count: 40k words.
7. Work on book tours for Valentina and the Haunted Mansion, and for Fractured.

With Fractured and The Doll Maker both releasing in September, this will be a busy month! Fingers crossed I get something done. I’ve also got lots of school work, so meh.
