Author Interview with Rose Wynters
I’m hosting an interview today with Rose Wynters, the author of paranormal romance novel Curvaceous Condemnation. Rose is touring with her book from May 13th to May 20th, and my blog is one of the tour stops. I’m glad to feature Rose on my blog today, and I hope you enjoy the interview.
1) When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I’ve always enjoyed writing, but I never thought it was something I’d ever really do book-wise. I seriously felt like who would want to read my writing? I’m sure that a lot of authors feel that way, especially right when they are starting out. It wasn’t until the past year that I got enough confidence to actually get my writing out here for the world to see. I really appreciate the positive feedback and reviews I have been getting on the books.
2) How long did it take you to write Curvaceous Condemnation from start to finish?
The first draft of Curvaceous Condemnation was finished in a few weeks. I pretty much knew what I was going to do with it, and the characters I wanted to bring into the book. It’s definitely got all sorts in it.
3) What was the most challenging part about writing Curvaceous Condemnation?
Ending it. It’s very hard to end a book sometimes, when there is a lot more you could put in! The Endurers have so much going on in their world, that you never really run out of things to write. These men work hard and play harder. When they see something they want, they go after it. The books can get very fast-paced when you are writing about men that aggressive and determined!
4) This book is part of a series. What are your plans for the rest of the series?
I’m currently working on book 3. Book 3 is going to venture off the beaten path, so to speak. Kim from book 2 will be the heroine, and we are going to get the story of Peter, also known as Peter the Playboy and Peter the Priest. Kim has a lot of hidden secrets about herself….. Be prepared for anything with this book.
5) What are your writing goals for 2013?
There is a whole lot going on. I’ve got a series of 3 being considered for contract right now. I’ve also got a new erotic, paranormal romance series with werewolves sitting in line with a few different publishers. Phase One: Identify (Territory of the Dead series, Book 1) has just released. This is a young adult horror/romance series about zombies. This year I’d also like to start and finish a time travel romance.
6) What is your editing process like?
I completely go back through the book myself after it’s finished. Then I have an editor that goes through it and corrects anything that needs to be fixed. After that, I go through it again. It seems like the editing takes a lot more time than the actual creation of the book. Then again, I enjoy the writing side more than the editing side of it!
7) Are you working on something right now? If so, can you tell us more about it?
Right now, I’m working on Book 2 for the Territory of the Dead series, and Book 3 The Endurers. I’d like to have both of these out by the end of summer.
Thanks so much for featuring me on your blog. I really enjoyed it!
Thanks for answering my questions, Rose! Good luck with your books.
About Curvaceous Condemnation
Author: Rose Wynters
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Erotic Romance
Death. Pain. Tragedy.
For Endurer Vincent Chavalerio, immortality has brought nothing but torment and misery. Cursed to forever watch the women he loves die painfully, he’s determined to finally put an end to it all, and his own existence as well.
Plus-sized Scarlett Hamilton is desperate to learn how to live again after the death of her fiance, Niles. One day, she feels compelled to purchase a historic mansion in New Orleans. Little does she know, there is already someone living within the walls, and a gateway to Hell in the backyard.
The demon that cursed him won’t release Vincent, even if it means the destruction of an entire city. Scarlett soon discovers an erotic passion in the immortal’s arms, but he’s still determined to let her go. Will he move past his grief and indifference enough to recognize what’s waiting right in front of him?
I’ve always had a love of romance. As a writer, I enjoy creating exciting plots where the stakes are high, in and out of bed. Love should be exciting!
When not writing and letting the Endurers pillage my mind, I enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time outdoors. There are so many fun things to do out there that it’s hard to narrow it down. I love seeing new places, meeting new people, and living life to the fullest.
