Weekly Writing Goals

Weekly Writing Goals #8

Each week, I write down my goals for the week, and scratch them off my list as I’ve achieved them. Last week I had a full writing schedule, and, surprise, surprise, of course I couldn’t do it all. But I did manage to do quite a few things off the list, so I’m happy.

Here’s my list of goals from last week. The ones crossed out are the ones I accomplished in the past week.

  • Revise 10k words in Soul Thief (first draft completed, now revising).
  • Revise 20k words in Soul Thief (first draft completed, now revising).
  • Revise 30k words in Soul Thief (first draft completed, now revising).
  • Revise 40k words in Soul Thief (first draft completed, now revising).
  • Write 10k words in Andante (Allegro Academy #2).
  • Write 20k words in Andante (Allegro Academy #2).
  • Write middle grade short story for an upcoming Evolved Publishing anthology.
  • Edit chapter five of Ghostslayer (around 5k words).
  • Set up blogs posts on my writing blog (which is this blog here!) for March.

All in all, that’s six things done out of nine, so I’m happy. Here’s my list of goals for next week.

  • Work on revisions for chapter book (revise 5k).
  • Work on revisions for chapter book (revise 10k).
  • Proofread chapter book one last time, and then send revisions back.
  • Revise 30k words in Soul Thief (first draft completed, now revising).
  • Revise 40k words in Soul Thief (first draft complated, now revising).
  • Write 20k words in Andante (Allegro Academy #2).
  • Write 30k words in Andante (Allegro Academy #2).
  • Come up with a concept to write during CampNaNo in April.

Phew, that’s a long list! Revisions for the chapter book are most important this week, but I’d really love to get through the revisions for Soul Thief as well, and to make some progress on Andante.

What are your goals for this week?
